Renewal of Youth Rental Incentive
This service allows for the renewal of the Youth Rental Incentive for buildings or autonomous fractions used as permanent residences.
The incentive is applicable to applicants under 35 years of age and is granted as a non-refundable monthly subsidy to households meeting the access conditions. It is valid for one year and can be renewed for the same period, up to a maximum of four consecutive renewals. Once the contract period ends, a new application may be submitted.
This support program is exclusively for citizens who have resided permanently in the Autonomous Region of the Azores for at least three years and are not in debt to the tax authorities or social security.

When to do
The application period runs from June 1 to June 30.
This period may be altered by an order from the Regional Government member responsible for housing.

Documents
- Application form
- All rent payment receipts
- Proof of reimbursement of any support unduly received, if applicable
- Updated documents proving the applicant and household’s identity, income, lack of real estate assets that could be occupied or used to fully pay the rent, and the bank statement showing the IBAN in the applicant’s name (ATM-generated documents are not accepted)
- If less than three years have passed since the rental agreement was signed, a certificate from the parish council confirming the applicant's fiscal residence in the Azores for at least three years is required
If the address has changed, additionally provide:
- Rental agreement under the New Urban Rental Regime, as per Title I of Law No. 6/2006, February 27, or the transitional regime under Title II, Chapter I, as amended by Law No. 31/2012, August 14, including proof of stamp duty payment from the Tax Office
OR
- If the rental agreement was made online (no Tax Office stamp), include:
a) Proof of submission of Model 2 declaration
b) Proof of stamp duty payment (if applicable, verified by the Tax Authority)
c) Uncertified copy of the property certificate and cadastral registration.
