Online Criminal Record

Citizens of the European Union can now authenticate themselves in the online Criminal Record digital service using the European Electronic Identity Recognition System (eIDAS). This advance allows any European citizen, through their national ID card, to access the online criminal record application in a safe and practical way.

Authentication was also made available for foreign citizens who hold a Digital Mobile Key (CMD) associated with their passport or residence permit. This measure aims to strengthen the accessibility and digitalisation of public services, promoting a more agile and secure experience for all users.
