Estagiar U_Intern U
Estagiar U aims to enable young people with intermediate level qualifications to do a professional internship in the real work context, which promotes their insertion into active life and also promotes the transition from the school path of young university students to active life;
Estagiar U is aimed at young students residing in the Autonomous Region of the Azores, who attend university education in courses that confer the degree of bachelor's or master's degree integrated in the Bologna process.
How and where to do

What I need
- Citizen Card or Identity Card;
- Proof of tax domicile in the Region;
- Proof of enrollment in the current academic year, dated the month of application;
- Proof that they have resided in the Autonomous Region of the Azores for at least six months;
- Proof of IBAN.
- Identification of the selected young people;
- Declaration under oath that the internship candidate does not provide, nor has provided, in any capacity, service in the promoting entity;
- Document proving that they have their situation regularized before the Tax Administration and Social Security.
Young candidates apply by submitting the following documents:
The promoting entities make their application upon presentation of the following documents:

Additional Information
Average time to perform
They last for one month per candidate and take place in July, August or September, starting and ending in the same month.
The internships take place with a maximum weekly schedule of 25 hours, in a work context, at the same time as that practiced by the promoter.
Training in Transversal Skills - Academia J
Young people carrying out internships in the ESTAGIAR U program may propose, in the application, to attend training workshops within the scope of the Training Program in Transversal Skills - Academia J, without prejudice to the fact that other training courses certified by the competent entities in terms of training certification in Portugal.
Areas of certified training are entrepreneurship, personal development, Artificial Intelligence and media education and cybersecurity.
The training takes place as follows:
- Duration of training – 20 hours, for each of the determined training areas;
- Training format – E-Learning;
- Schedule – 3 hours a day, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
