Other information
Note: Registered interested parties must, on the respective date, time and place of the exam, identify themselves before the jury, by presenting a civil identification document or other document that legally replaces it, under penalty of not being able to take the exam, also losing the respective registration fee.
The exam consists of a theoretical test carried out at the island forest services, as a written rule, and may, exceptionally, be carried out orally, when the number of interested parties who declare that they cannot read or write and prove it, by means of a declaration from an entity with competence in matters of education, is equal to or greater than ten;
The exam lasts thirty minutes and consists of twenty multiple-choice questions among three answer hypotheses, only one of which is the correct one, on topics related to the following areas:
- Regional hunting legislation;
- Legal Regime of Arms and Ammunition;
- Requirements for the exercise of the venatory act;
- Hunting species, their biology, ecology and management;
- Hunting processes and means;
- Constraints on the exercise of the venatory act;
- Hunting signage;
- Hunting gun safety rules.
Interested parties who answered at least 75% of the questions correctly are considered eligible to obtain the regional hunter card.
