Vehicle Registration Certificate Amendment Service

The Vehicle Registration Certificate is the official identification document for a vehicle – the Single Automobile Document (DUA), which is essential for the circulation of any vehicle.

 

It contains the vehicle's technical data and its legal status, replacing the old "Livrete" and "Título de Registo de Propriedade". To drive legally, it is mandatory that your identification document is always kept up to date.

 

RIAC provides the service for amending data registered in the DUA: Vehicle Registration Certificate – Other Characteristics. This allows for changes to the vehicle's technical information, owner details (except for the address), among other information contained in the Certificate.

 

To request an amendment, you only need to present the Vehicle Registration Certificate (or the "Livrete" along with the "Título de Registo de Propriedade") and your Citizen Card (or ID Card and Tax Number/NIF). The service costs €31.50.
