OTLJ “Student Youth” – applications underway

The Youth Leisure Time Occupations Program (OTLJ) is intended for young residents of the Azores, with the aim of providing a productive and enriching occupation of their free time. This program offers activities that contribute to the development of personal, social, and professional skills.

Student Youth: second phase of applications underway

The second phase of applications for the "Student Youth" subprogram is currently underway, running until January 15.

The "Student Youth" subprogram aims to occupy leisure time during the school period, promoting socio-professional development and minimizing the possibility of adopting deviant and high-risk behaviors.

It is intended for young people aged between 15 and 24, who are enrolled in secondary education (general or vocational) or attending higher education. Young people who have completed secondary education and applied for higher education, but are not attending this level of education due to a lack of vacancies or withdrawal, may also apply.

Other OTLJ Subprograms

There are also the “Holiday Occupation”, “Summer in Occupation”, and “Active Youth” subprograms, for which applications open on March 1 and run until April 30:

“Holiday Occupation”: intended for young people aged 14 to 24 with a minimum qualification of the 3rd cycle, carrying out professional activities during the summer holidays.

“Summer in Occupation”: for young people aged 16 to 24 attending secondary or higher education, providing activities to improve personal and professional skills.

“Active Youth”: aimed at young people aged 15 to 24, integrated in social inclusion projects or in situations of vulnerability, with a focus on the development of social and vocational skills.

Applications for OTLJ subprograms can be submitted at any RIAC Shop.

The OTLJ is an initiative of the Regional Secretariat for Youth, Housing, and Employment.
