Applications Open for the Estagiar U Program

The application period for the Estagiar U (internship) Program is now open for young university students. Applications can be submitted at RIAC Shops until May 31.

The Estagiar U Program provides young Azoreans with a transition to active working life through access to professional internships in a real work context, according to their fields of study.

It is an opportunity to complement and improve socio-professional skills, facilitating the recruitment process and integration into company staff, as well as the retention of young people on the less populated islands.

Residents of the Autonomous Region of the Azores who are attending university (bachelor's, master's, or postgraduate) and are up to 30 years old at the time of application can apply.

Each internship lasts for one month, during July, August, or September, always starting at the beginning of the month.

The weekly workload is up to 25 hours, in accordance with the working hours of the promoting entity.

At the time of application, young people can propose to attend certified training, with a minimum duration of 20 hours, to be held during the internship month.

A monetary compensation is granted to the interns of the program, corresponding to the current monthly minimum wage in the Azores. For this, the full weekly workload must be completed, and the respective training completion certificate must be presented. The absence of this certificate at the time of submitting the attendance map implies a 30% reduction in the compensation amount.
